I’m such a sucker for Moning’s Highlander series! I stumbled across the first one years ago and I never would have predicted that I’d be reading the 6th one in 2022! But here I am!

We’ve met Adam a few times throughout the series and his character has played such a big role from the behind the scenes it was so great to read his own story! The only thing I love more than a Highland romance are fantasy romances and fae so this book had it all for me!

As usual I found a few places in this book I wished we could just KISS ALREADY and a few times where I wished Moning didn’t rush action scenes. I found this one did that even more so than the previous books. Like the scene where Daroc and Adam finally meet and should battle it out… well it was anticlimactic to say the least.

BUT like I said, I have such a soft spot for these novels that I can look past it all!

Plus that epilogue was so beautiful *eyes tear up* I forgive!

I will say I wish it was a little more spicy. These books don’t have half as much spice as you’d expect with those covers!
