Lackluster and underwhelming...

I wanted to like this book, but after the excitement of the other books in the Dollanganger series, it was admittedly a letdown. I feel this way about both diaries. There were few new things revealed, with most of it being about the construction workers daughter, her filthy rich boyfriend, and their reading the book while struggling with the idea of having sex for the first time. I skimmed many sections about the day to day dramas of high school children. As can be expected, perfect, valedictorian girl that gets the guy everyone wants. The next diary is rather underwhelming as well, with one secret revealed at the end.
