Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson

a bit disappointed in this... I flew through the first 50% like it was nothing and was really intrigued to see where it could go... but it honestly did not really... go, at all? all the themes were clearly too much for Jackson to handle because it felt very misplaced, rushed and messy. I would never consider this a mystery or a thriller because we got maybe 30 pages tops on those components. this is definitely a more contemporary take on a heartbreaking situation. and don't get me started on how you can tell the author has no clue how teenagers communicate. very cringy dialogue, that's all I'll say...
I feel like if it this book was just simply planned better, with less themes, this would be a great read!
