The Consuming Fire by John Scalzi
5.0
"Bloody awesome book!
Brilliant in every aspect of storytelling, with a well-crafted and compelling plot, and a well-constructed world with a rich history and culture. The memorable characters have depth and complexity, and the skillful use of dialogue and pacing made the reading experience immersive and enjoyable. It offered insight into the human condition, with more back-stabbing and double-dealing than an episode of Dallas in its heyday!
I'm so sorry I didn't read these books years ago; I've missed out on them. I've been reading banal sci-fi when I could have been reading these awesome books. Well, as the adage goes, better late than never."
