All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold

4.0

I really liked this one. Starts off in a classroom, then shows the school, children's homes, and the whole community. Short and sweet rhythmic text welcomes everyone, no matter where they're from, how they dress, or what they eat. I particularly like the pictures showing a little black girl getting ready for bed and sleeping with her bonnet. Also shows a Muslim girl praying, queer families, different abilities, a Jewish boy wearing a yamaka, a sikh boy, a black teacher with a turban, and much more.

Excellent, inclusive pictures paired with simple inclusive text. "All are welcome here" is repeated on almost every page, and becomes a mantra that would easily stick in any reader's head.
