Least favorite Adair book so far. I started it multiple times and kept thinking I wasn’t in the mood but…I had been looking forward to this one because of the fact they’d been in love since they were kids. I thought a 7 year separation was far too long for people whose family is so entwined and the reunion was ridiculously easy after living completely separate lives for such a long time. I didn’t enjoy the forced drama with Carianne or Gabriel. I feel as though dating two guys in 7 years should not crown you the town whore (I’ve lived in small towns and they can be ridiculous but that was over the top) I thought the “mystery” part was dumb and obvious. I love her writing but the storyline failed on every level for me on this one. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the next one.
