“Your eyes are wide open, but you see nothing.”

Wow. This book surprised me with how dark it ended up being. But, I liked that about it. It kept me interested and desperate to learn more about this cult-like/dystopian society.

The flower symbolism was a really cool addition to the story and I loved how it played into the progression of the plot.

I found it portrayed very well how reform is not something that can happen overnight, but instead requires patience and hard work. Even if you are against it, sometimes it is best to conform in order to start on the changes that are needed slowly from within. Don’t do it alone and keep your eyes open.

This was a beautifully devastating story and I recommend it!
