The end of a series is always such an emotional roller coaster. No matter how much I want to know the ending…I don’t want it to be over. I loved every minute of my journey through the Midrealms and Shadow & Storms was no exception.
I was absolutely on the edge of my seat knowing that Thea’s fate stone was ticking down toward her nameday and wondering if she and Wilder could defy fate and get that HEA. Not only that, the tension between Wren and Torj was making me insane. (Just kiss already!!!!) Despite all the anxiety, I loved getting to see Thea live her Warsword dreams. She is such a badass and I love her so much. And Elwren?! She is a wizard with the alchemy and threw down with the Guardians and Warswords like she was born to do it.
This was a wonderful end to the Legends of Thezmarr. I couldn’t put it down, and the only thing that kept me from a crippling book hangover was knowing that Iron & Embers was waiting for me!
