The Legacy of Villains by Juliet Lockwood

5.0

“If he had a heart, it might have beat for Jolie Hook at that moment.”

The Legacy of Villains is an enchanting enemies-to-lovers retelling of Peter Pan’s characters on Beauty and the Beast’s storyline.

Jolie Hook is the daughter of the legendary Captain Hook. When Captain Hook agrees to Peter Pan’s offer of a meeting for peace, Jolie knows something is wrong. She’s right. Peter kidnapped her father. She makes a deal with Peter, who tells her that if she makes it to his castle in three days, enduring the horrors of the Neverwoods, he would let her father go.

Little does Jo know that the journey is only the beginning.

I fell in love with Jolie, the fierce female pirate who just wants her father’s approval, and Peter, a lonely boy who feels like he doesn’t deserve the good he can get. Tinkerbell, Damien, and Nana also hold special places in my heart, carved for fairy, friendly, and dreadwolf sizes. The plot, the romance, and the impactful quotes were just what I needed. The Legacy of Villains is just as good as its cover promises, full of adventure and a yearning for more.

I received an eARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.
