it's a fun fairly quick read.
would have been faster without some of the repetitive moping from Rez but I liked Kira even when she wasn't the sharpest crayon in the box. girl needed a lot explained to her. a lot. (i think this is partially because the author puts out her books so fast. the next one in this series is out in 4 months after this one. at that pace and this word count, you're going to end up with repetition somewhere. looking at you, too, Red Tower Books)
i really wanted more from the secondary characters and was kind of upset to see that you needed the ARC or to sign up for a newsletter to get the last chapter that fleshes them out and sets up the sequel, too! especially because I was content to let this one go as a stand alone before that final scene. now I'm interested in what happens next, but if the average reader won't get to see that part, then I feel like I have to rate the book without it. and that's a half a star gone.
