Talking to Strangers: What We Should Know About the People We Don't Know by Malcolm Gladwell
What a bunch of verbal diarrhea. I felt like I was listening to a high school debate student who took random articles and videos he picked based on public POPULARITY and familiarity. Blurting loud and boisterous about his thoughts on those said popular events over history all the while patting himself hard on the back for his superior intelligence as he some how tried to connect them all in his constant contradicting declarations. The examples he was using have no real connection except for his own explanation of what he deems connected. It felt like a religious fanatic who opens the bible and out of contexts interprets the scripture to meet his own personal means and convictions. Don't even think other wise that he is wrong because as he often states we would be wrong.
I can not believe how high the ratings are for this book. But then again I shouldn't be surprised. News flash we all know humans on a whole do not stir the pot. They turn an eye when they see and know something not right MOST of the time. Don't be fooled, most people know exactly what is going on. They just lie so that they are not singled out and not ostracized. I honestly think that the high review must some how be because most people who read this book don't want to look stupid for not liking it in front of their peers who probably feel the same way but would never speak up and single themselves out...hmmm MAYBE this entire book is a study within the study to see if any children in the audience can see that the Emperor's not wearing any clothes.
Well high school debate student standing on the stage, you aren't wearing any clothes and it isn't a debate if you are the only one doing the arguing on stage. There is always suppose to be an opposing side if you are going to cite evidence of formal matters.... and that's just logic.
Can't believe THIS book was my last book of 2019 to read and my first of 2020. Sign. of. the. times.
