Sarah Dessen's books always uses the same formula. Get a girl who's facing an issue, while working it out she meets a guy, falls in love with him, pull back from him, come to a realization about it, and finally they end up together. Though I've known about this formula and I know what's coming next, it didn't stop me from reading this book - sometimes just my favourite bits, sometimes cover to cover - multiple times. Perhaps it's because I know I can always rely on the formula and her writing for an enjoyable read. Nonetheless, it's a book i can't put down everytime I pick it up. Along for the ride touches my heart in ways that only Sarah can do, and I'm glad she brought me along for this ride.
