Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis
4.0
Dr Ransom is kidnapped by fellow humans and taken to the world Malacandra. There he escapes capture and learns about the locals and their world, but even more about his home, the Silent Planet. Lewis packs this short story full of philosophy, I am a bit overwhelmed by it. An enjoyable read, it is simply an introduction to the series with much larger themes to come; and recommended to Lewis' fans or any science fiction reader.
