Dead Lands by Stacey Marie Brown

Again! I’m actually writing this review right after finishing the book! Not after I read the entire series! Good job, me.

In this book, Brexley and Warwick FINALLY BONE. And it’s great. During the first sexy times, they’re still pretending they hate each other. By the end of this book, when they bone again, they’re finally not doing the “well I hate him/her” shit every time. They’re more cuddly and being more honest that they might actually be a thing.

Meeting Brexley’s uncle-by-not-blood just for him to die was crap.

Meeting her actual uncle she doesn’t like for him to treat her like she’s the villain is crap.

Caden is AN IDIOT and Hannah is STUPID and they’re so brainwashed and so mean to Brexley and I just KNOW that even though Brex has “captured” them, they’re going to escape and fuck things up because she couldn’t just KILL THEM. Maybe we have to wait for a redemption arc. Eye roll.

Interesting that the nectar is basically Brex’s afterbirth and that somehow SHE is also inherently the nectar. WHAT IS HER MOTHER. WHY WAS SHE ON THE BATTLEFIELD IN LABOR AND WHAT IS SHE. WHO IS SHE.

I would love Brex and Warwick and Ash to be a throuple. I know it won’t happen, but I want it so bad.
