His Deadly Lies by Melanie Kingsley, Melanie Kingsley
5.0
Giving this 5* because of the little twist I didn't see coming.
This is my second venture into age gap, though there was a bigger gap in this one than there was in the other. Anyway.
This was a great read and I loved that there was an actual plot in this romance. Not as dark as I would have imagined considering it's Mafia but we still got these:
* - mafia
- age gap
- virgin
- enemies to lovers
- kind of a forbidden romance
- touch her and die (though not too crazy)
*Correct me if I'm wrong. All the tropes are actually mentionned at the beginning of the book, I'm just too lazy to go see and correct myself *lol*
Oh yeah, and an HEA.
I'm there for it all. I did take a while before warming up to either MCs but I love them both now. The story flowed really well and I could feel the connection between the two MCs almost right away. The writing was great.
I am intrigued about book 2, I think I know who it'll center around (and no, I haven't checked).
