This was really good! I like all the mythology and although I was a bit worried about the giant cast of characters in the beginning, it was actually pretty easy to keep track of who everyone was. I like that we really get to spend time with each character and watch them change and grow. The relationships between the characters (romantic or otherwise) all feel natural and realistic and was something that really stood out to me. The overarching theme of balance between good and evil was done well. The writing was pretty good, there were a couple times I rolled my eyes at a metaphor, but overall it flowed well and did not get confusing during the big battle scene at the end like other fantasy books I have read.
