The Third Day, the Frost by John Marsden

5.0

This is my favorite in the series so far. You really get to know the characters on such a deep level, and you watch them change from teenagers to guerrilla soldiers. This book has so many moments that kept me on the edge of my literal and metaphorical seat. I felt their successes and failures as if they were my own. Ellie's narration has a way of making you root for them, even though it's written in past tense as she's recalling her memories. I LOVED this one.
