If you have ever had a dog, you will recognize some aspect of City Dog's behavior and be touched. Beautiful illustrations. I love that the paintings are so pretty but also funny - the dog smiling like a frog. My only problem - spoiler here if such a thing is possible in a picture book- is the frog hibernating or did he die? I still loved it!
