Tempting the Beast by Lora Leigh
4.0
Merinus Tyler is the only girl and the youngest of the six brothers in the Tyler family. In the beginning of this book we see her arguing to be the on that makes contact with Callan Lyons. Who she has been fascinated with since she first saw his picture.
Callan Lyons has been running from the Genetics Council, the people who made him for years. And though he knows he should pack up and leave when the snooping little journalist hits town, he can’t help himself but be intrigued with her and play the game a little longer.
I really liked this first novel in the Breeds series. I remember the first time I picked it up I was ….hesitant about it, but it really did pull me in and leave me wishing for more.
The only things I can think of that stop me from giving the full five stars was thinking there should have been more to it, more back ground info and more of a relationship between Merinus and Callan. They were good together and I do think very compatible but we see a lot of their sexual relationship and little of the emotional. So it would have been nice to see more of that.
Other than that it is a great beginning to the series, with a lot that hints at more to come in the next books. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a steaming hot read.
