This is the first book in the Nocturne Vampire Clan series, a paranormal romance (with dark romance elements) about a vampire hunter who becomes what she’s hunted. As always, check content warnings, especially those for gore/violence and spice (all scenes are M/F).
Tropes and themes include:
✨ Enemies to lovers
✨ Family feuds
✨ Vampire slayer FMC
✨ Vampire MMCs
✨ Why choose
✨ Shadow daddy
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
Nicknames: Silver, Vicious, Little Slayer
The Lovely: I loved the twists and turns of the storyline - I frequently had no idea what was coming next. This was a crazy fun, fast paced adventure that made for an enjoyable read.
The Mundane: I struggled with the relationship between the main characters, especially the FMC and one of the MMCs. It never really felt like, to me, they had an emotional connection - it was all lust.
Recommendation: Thank you to R&R Book Tours and the author for the eARC. My thoughts are my own. The story ends on a sort of not-exactly-a-cliffhanger but not a HEA either (which I wouldn’t expect it to since it’s the first book in the series). I would read the next book for the trill ride and the hope we see more of an emotional connection between the FMC and all the MMCs. If you like a paranormal, vampire romance with a twisty plot and elements of dark romance, this book is for you.
