End Game
by Monica Murphy
Narrated by Stephanie Rose; J.D. Harris
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and I loved the camaraderie between all the characters leading and supporting.
Stephanie Rose and J.D. Harris however really brought Everleigh and Nico the leading Characters to life, Nico is a character I personally loved, and J.D Harris did a really good job as Nico, and of course Stephanie Rose was amazing as Everleigh and all other characters.
Although this was my first by Author and Narrators
This audio is definitely one that I will find myself listening to again when I’m in need of an easy going story!
Ok let’s get into this one .
End Game is the first book in a new series from Monica, the Kings of Campus. In this book the romantic focus is between Everleigh and Nico.
While I loved the camaraderie between all the characters. There was a lot of indecision between Everleigh & Nico who were fighting their feelings, well mostly Everleigh.
And although I was somewhat disappointed with that. I did enjoy it.
I love a good sports romance that has a connection between everyone, The kind that gives off good comrade vibes and tight knit relationships, and for sure this book has that connection with Nico and his teammates/roommates.
I Can't wait to see what's next for the rest of the guys mentioned in this story.
Everleigh was desperately seeking somewhere to stay, but when she hears some college guys talking about having a spare room she jumped at the opportunity, After working out a deal she not only finds a new place but became roommates to three big burly guys!
Nico,Cooper and Frank Aka Dollar all football stars unbeknownst to her .
But Nico Valente
isn't really too happy with having a female roommate as they're trying to concentrate on football season but there's something about Everleigh that's different from all the other girls. Living together means she's off limits and has friend-zone him when he wants to be so more than friends, it's getting harder to keep his distance. As tension continues to grow between them, feelings are starting to show even though both don't really want to cross that line where it could upset the balance between all four who lives together.
But Will they give in to their feelings in the end?...
Can Eveleigh trust Nico valente the ever perpetual gorgeous playboy?
Could Nicole want more than just a hook up with the sweet Everleigh?
It took such a long time for anything to happen between Nico and Everleigh beyond bickering back and forth, especially Everleigh confused state as to whether she should be more with Nico.
Although this story was mostly angst ..
I would have liked for them to spend more time together as I wasn't convinced about them becoming anything for most part of the book. (I could be wrong and just wanted bit more spice and connection ).
My favourite parts of the story however were the friendships of the roommates and Cooper sister who had me rolling with laughter at her outburst during dinner. I also loved the way they became like Everleigh big brothers and how close she became with Cooper sister who I’m hoping to read her story!
Definitely recommend if you love
