The Haunted Bridge by Carolyn Keene

3.0

Oh, Nancy Drew-you persevere time and again, and this time while winning a golf tournament.

In this installment of the franchise, Nancy is helping her father Carson apprehend a ring of international jewel thieves. To do so, they take a vacation at a golf resort with Bess and George, with Nancy splitting her time between sleuthing and golfing.

By comparison, this story is about par for the course (pun intended) with other Drew mysteries-both nothing exceptional, but the plot holds together enough and the story itself has a bit more character drama than usual.

I've noticed that in my quest to read the original 56 Nancy Drew mysteries, I've become increasingly jaded in my reviews (and general experience of the books). Perhaps it will be good to break up my reading extravaganza with other literature, and return to Nancy when I've had some space.

Definitely a recommended book, but I'm not sure I'd recommend reading all of the previous installments before delving into this one. Only the truly committed should attempt that feat.
