The Valiant by Lesley Livingston
5.0
Celtic princess taken by a slaver to become a gladiator in Rome.
Need I say more?
This book is perfect! It has a historical twist and is immensely entertaining. Between the subplots of romance, revenge, and sisterhood and the main story, it is executed very well.
I love the characters (Fallon is my girl and Cai is *chef's kiss*, plus all of the other female gladiators) and her sister being the head of the gladiator school . . . I saw that last part coming though. Not really a surprise.
Even with that little unsurprising twist, I liked the ending and was exhilarating.
