I listened to this as an audiobook while working, it’s pretty good. FL dosnt want to get married, she wants to be free to do what she wants so she makes up a suitor to be her betrothed so she can’t be set up with anyone. She says he’s fighting in the war so she writes him letters and sends them off to an imaginary person… or so she thought. oddly enough he is a real person and he’s come to collect his wife after the war. He loved her letters and wants to marry her for her land at first but he starts to love her after she shows him what love is.
