I remember wanting to love this. But even as a teenager, it didn't interest me. I think I tried it a few times but never got past a few chapters. Maybe that was my main downfall. Maybe I just didn't give it enough of a chance. But I remember being confused and not caring for any of the characters or the tropes. Even back then, when my young mind was less picky about the books I read. Where I'd happily try out any YA book, despite how nowadays I typically avoid YA. But also, vampires aren't my favorite. And this series got long. I think that curbed my interest as well.
