I am still quite unable to pick up another book...Cyril got well and truly under my skin so that by the end of the book I cried for a few hours. And I am a hard hearted stoical reader.
The book was utterly wonderful. At times a bit of a farce, but in the way we all retell a fabulous, almost legend family story...at times profoundly sad and poignant, I learnt a lot, laughed a lot and am still utterly bereft at having finished the book. This book is utterly wonderful. I loved it more than I can say
