Its been a couple of days since I’ve finished this book, but sadly life happened (my visa renewal process began) and that kept me too busy to write a proper review. Anyways today is Malaysian Day, which means a much needed break for me!!!

Anyways.. Sarah J Mass is really good with her words, that is established!! I know a lot of people who are die heart DC comics fan would not love her take on Cat-woman’s story, as here she somehow comes across more human, sympathetic and emotional. But I loved it. I loved to know more about the badass females I loved as a kid, know more about their feeling and their struggles.
What make Catwoman, Harley Quinn or Poison Ivy, the way they are? This book follows a young girl, Selina. Who is desperate to do anything so that her sister gets a life. She fights on the streets, steals to keep them going, to pay her sisters hospital bills, house rents, until one day she accepts a deal to protect her sister that takes Selina away from her.
The story continues with a older Selina, couple of years later who is a completely changed person. At least from the outside she comes across as poss, delicate, shallow woman, for the outside world she is known as Holly, and for the ones who lives in the dark she becomes “Catwoman“. The story follows her as she becomes a part of the crime world of Gotham city and shakes it to its core with the help of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn..
Harley’s smile was a crooked slash of white beneath her red lipstick. “Talks like a lady, acts like a thug”.
She didn’t know half of it.
I loved the new insights author gave us on Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn‘s lives. And being a die heart Quinn fan, I loved the promise of life her life got in this universe. I loved the silly banters of the girls. Such a BADASS trio 😉 And I specially loved how Luke is seems like just a side character in this story. These girls can rock the story on their own and they did *_*
