Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
4.0
I adored this book. I loved all the characters and I actually felt like I became a part of this world. One of the women looking up to Zott and aspiring to be like her.
I like the fact that she wasn’t a natural at becoming a mother and how as her daughter grew and she could have conversations with her, they bonded very well.
I love how they had a chosen family in the end and how they found blood relatives.
I also found it so sad in parts and especially towards the end when Zott met her daughter’s grandmother, knowing that she would never meet Calvin and how there were missed opportunities.
Incredibly well written and also so easy to understand as there aren’t too many scientific references but there is also enough to make you really grasp that science is such a massive part of Zotts life!!
Would definitely read another book as a follow up to this one!!
