Brave New World / Brave New World Revisited by Aldous Huxley

5.0

The reason I'm giving this 5 stars: One, I will definitely think about this novel for a long time. A novel that sticks with you deserves 5 stars in my opinion.
Two, it's just perfect. I'm amazed about how Aldous Huxley managed to create a whole new 'utopian' society that criticized the worst aspects of our present society. He hit the nail on its head with so many things and it is just fascinating. What was the most interesting, was the conversation between John the Savage and Mustapha Mond when John was criticising their 'utopian' society. They were both convinced of how their own society is better. As our present society is the same as John's, I could agree with a lot he was saying. However, what surprised me was that I found myself agreeing to multiple things Mustapha was saying as well.
I really think this is a novel many people should read and don't let the fact that it's a classic put you off. It does not feel like one and it is quite fast-paced with easy language.
