The God of the Woods by Liz Moore

4.0

This may have been a very slow-burn literary thriller, but I kind of inhaled it. Don’t try this on audio…there are multiple character POVs within multiple timelines that can get very confusing. There are too many characters, too, but they often serve as red herrings. The vibes are immaculate, however; I was really immersed in the story and Moore’s writing. The ending kind of underwhelmed me and (somewhat) came out of left field, however, preventing me from rating this 5 stars. If the author had taken care of the story’s conclusion like she did the rest of the book, this would be an easy 5 stars!
