Two turtles in the dessert come across a hat. They both try it on. It looks great on both of them, but there's only one hat . . . . What to do?

This was such a surprising conclusion to the first two Hat Books. Although it's lovely on its own, I don't think I could have appreciated it as much if we hadn't read the first two together.

FWIW This is Not My Hat is my 2.5-year-old's clear favorite. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite.
