Childhood Disrupted: How Your Biography Becomes Your Biology, and How You Can Heal by Donna Jackson Nakazawa

2.5 stars. The info was simple and good, but the writing style was repetitive and annoyed me at times. The way the author explained the increased risk for different diseases/illnesses caused by ACEs could've been done with more empathy and compassion for the audience, in my opinion; at times, the stats were very scary to read, as somebody who has a lot of health anxiety. The chapter around what you can do to heal was more positive, and probably the most helpful (not for me personally, but probably for someone who's a beginner to learning about trauma).
Minor: Fatphobia
