The Case for Rage: Why Anger Is Essential to Anti-Racist Struggle by Myisha Cherry

3.75

For pol Phil. A very well thought out and well-written book, attempting to distinguish ‘Lordean Rage’ from other types of anger and argue for the political value of this kind of anger. I thought the first three chapters, in particular, were outstanding. The second part of the book was still very good but not quite as tight — all in all, though, a very valuable contribution to the literature on anger, spelling out a lot of the intuitive disagreements I had when reading Nussbaum on anger.
