Super Dark 2 by Tanith Morse

Disappointment. That's what this book is: Disappointment.

What happened? I seriously do not understand what happened! Everything that went right with the first book went oh so horribly wrong with this one. In my review of the first book i gave it 4 Stars. It had enough good qualities to merit the rating and render it a refreshing read. So what the hell happened?!?!?

To start off:
- The pace: It changed. It went on so fast i actually felt lightheaded and wanted to vomit. Though the chapters remained looooong it felt like nothing and everything was happening, all at once. But that was just me cause things were happening, only they were so fast i was too slow to comprehend them. When i finally caught up to the pace nothing actually happened so at that instance i went a little slower boom, events were happening in supersonic rapidness.
- Samantha: She went from someone who was level headed, with sarcasm and who spoke their mind to a total bitch. I wanted to bitch slap her so hard! Urgg! Some of her behaviour i could barely, but barely, give an excuse for. Most of her behaviour was simply inexcusable. I know we all have our negative attributes but she turned into a completely different person!
- Elliott: I do feel sorry for him that he got to deal with a bitch like Sam. He seems to be a good guy and even if he wasn’t i wouldn't wish Sam upon anyone. My only grievance is that we’re in book two and i still don’t quite get him. Though i grew to appreciate him immensely, i still feel that something is indeed missing. Maybe it is just me though.
- The Bad Guys/Enemies: They were ok. We didn’t get to see anything of them but for a little bit and the little we did see was not that bad. Sam was worse than they were. Honestly, she was such a bitch she overshadowed whatever little badness the enemies had. That right there should tell you a lot about our MC.
- Frasier: Ohh, my dear Frasier! He was the only redeeming quality of this book for the little he appeared in it. The best character so far. One in a million! <3

I expected so much from this book, I truly did, but besides a couple of humorous lines I got nothing. I’ve never found a MC that would make me change my opinion of them from one book to the next to such an extent, but I guess there is indeed a first time for everything.

I am still holding out that the third book will go back to being a great read. Let’s hope if I’m right.
