This book was a wonderful surprise.
This historical romance is based on 3 real women, blended into our fiction heroine, who did everything they could to save Jacobite soldiers in history.
With that said, Annie is a lovely heroine to read from. I genuinely found her character strong yet vulnerable, and fierce when needed.
Though our hero is a brute on the battlefield, Craig is very much in love with Annie, but afraid that it won't be enough.
This plays out in a way that I really enjoyed. I hope you will as well.
