This book in Greek translation is a collection of selected short stories from modern Greek classics and foreign classics. Greek authors: Zaxarias Papadiamantis, Fotis Kontoglou, Kostas Tsiropoulos, Dimitrios Vikelas, kai Antonis Samarakis. Foreign authors: Leo Tolstoy, Anton Chekhov, and M. Scott Peck. This book reminded me the joy of reading in my first language. It seems strange to go from not speaking more than a few English words to be fluent and to read almost exclusively in English since I don't have Greek books here. 23 years in the USA is a lifetime that seems like yesterday.
