I’ve only ever read one other Leigh Bardugo book, but I definitely enjoyed this one more. Probably because it had magic and witchy vibes.

I found the whole book to be a bit slow? I took many breaks reading this one to either read something else or not read at all - it almost felt like it put me in a slump?

That being said, the Spanish setting definitely added something to the magic of this book, and the concept of the magic was pretty interesting. It gave us slow burn romance and a magical competition, so overall enough for me to finish.
