I had the absolute privilege to read an ARC of this book.
Ambrose Beake is one of the top potion masters and the person everyone in the Scar knows to go to to get the very best potions possible. But when a newcomer to the area opens a potion shop directly across the street, things get more heated than a mismanaged potion.
Eli moves to the Scar to open his potion shop after several other failed ventures. All he wants is to build a business and find joy in his work. Unfortunately, his job is made ten times harder when the bristly half-Fae potion master across the street is determined to see him fail.
When the two rivals are forced to work together on a complex commission with a fast approaching deadline, they're forced to set aside their dislike for one another to accomplish the goal on time. And when that mutual hate is pushed away, something else may just take its place.
This book wraps readers in a warm blanket of cozy fantasy. Whether you come for the well-written characters, the diverse queer rep, the intriguing story, the easy to understand world building, the smooth flow, or one of the other many amazing aspects of this book, you're sure to fall in love.
This book releases on March 20th, and you do not want to miss out. It may very well be the next big read in cozy fantasy.
