Well this was a lot better than iron flame. I really enjoyed seeing the new places and characters and everything really starting to move faster, but the writing style jumped from one book to the next. I think it’s an improvement, but it is noticeable. That ending was a “wonderful” cliffhanger to end on, especially knowing there will be a longer than usual break between this one and the next.  I think the thing I loved the most was simply that Violet and Xaden were allowed to love each other finally and not have a 3rd book of miscommunication and faux mistrust. That being said how the hell is Violet going to run Tyrrendor when I’m sure her relationship with Imogen (and perhaps the other marked ones) will take a hit? Looking forward to the next one, whenever that happens to be!
