As a Trekkie, I loved this hilarious, fast-paced book, which was also unexpectedly heartwarming at the end. Scalzi is one of the few straight white guys whose books I really love! I had trouble putting this book down, as I was desperate to know what was happening and how the secrets would be revealed.
This book's twist is so great that it's hard to talk about the plot without spoilers, but it is the kind of twist that excites you, works great, and feels satisfying. The cast of characters is all super compelling as we try to get to know them beneath the plot and the Narrative. My favorite character was absolutely Jenson, and I was practically in tears as his story came to a close (in a good way!).
Read this if you like sci-fi, television, or even if you just like fun!
