3.5

I'm not sure how to rate this book because, well, I'm not entirely sure what exactly I just read.

This book is Station Eleven x Holes x The Day After Tomorrow.

What I like so much about dystopian books is the deeper, underlying message that they tend to have. With this book, I'm not sure if I was supposed to get that the rich are evil, that rich men are evil, or just an overall message of complacency. "This is our shit world. Let's live in it."

It wasn't a bad book, by any means, but I'm just conflicted about what exactly the message is that the author is sending.
