Dead Dead Girls starts off with a bang as the main character gets  kidnapped, stabs the guy that took her and then proceeds to help three other victims as she escapes. You would think that the rest of the book keeps up with that momentum right? Spoiler alert, it does not. Dead Dead Girls is more of a cozy mystery with a few unnecessary dashes of hardcore trauma that I felt like was there for the sake of trauma and then were mentioned at the most random moments.

The story is about our FMC, Louise Lloyd, who gets recruited by the police to help solve a serial killer case. Throughout 95% of her investigation, all Louise does is run in circles. It felt like all she did was find bodies and no actual evidence. She would come up with plans to get evidence and then screw it up midway through. And her “plan” at the end of the book with the Ouija board was the dumbest idea especially with what resulted from it.

This book was too dang long. Nothing happened, the ending was rushed and overall it was an unsatisfying read.
