The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

✧ • ° . ◦ *⠀┊ four and a half stars.
⠀okay, i know, i know. the half is missing. that is only due to something i feel is my fault. this book was quite literally amazing. i can't believe it took me this long to finally read this. wow. the only real complaint i have is until the games start, this was just good. it wasn't bad, not okay. it was good. until the games started, i thought this read a little juvenile. once the games started, this feeling was completely gone. i was actually surprised at how non-juvenile it was. i fell in love with katniss and peeta almost instantaneously. i want/ed katniss to feel the way she pretended to feel. as you can imagine, the ending almost broke my heart. speaking of the ending, i found that it wrapped up a little quick. the pacing of the novel was very fast and often included time skips but i would have liked a little more detail and conclusion.
