Great first act, very frustrating (not in a good way) second act, incredible third act.
Honestly the last third of this book saved it. It’s not something that I intend on reading again but I am curious as to where the rest of this world goes.
Generally speaking you can tell two writers wrote this. There seemed to be two very distinct writing styles that took me a moment to get over as they don’t particularly gel together. But plot wise it was pretty strong and engaging (other than in my opinion a very annoying plot twist in the middle that almost ruined the whole vibe - for me personally).
Like I said - genuinely curious to see the rest of this world now - and I was not saying that half way through the book I can assure you!
