How is her brain not fried if she sees an equation for every single wave around her (light, sound, etc.)
Once again, the science makes very little sense, which is fine normally, but it truly is very ridiculous in this book. There’s a bunch of sciency mumbojumbo te explain her brain:

Girl what. This is so pretentious
Bai Ge DRAGS her for how she treated Kai, as he should. It just keeps getting worse and worse throughout the book. The more we learn, the more we see how completely in the wrong she was.
She made Kai’s trauma worse: (I keep thinking I’m going to lose you like I lost my mom.)
And then we learn Kai was gone so often not because he was busy with other things, but because he was making a journal for her with information about Red. The author just kept piling it on lol.
And then they have a conversation and she’s horrified when she realizes he knows she drugged him like girllll. That is so not the main issue here.

I love the developments w what Kai is up to.
The dynamic of her telling two grown, accomplished men what to do… yeah that’s cool
The reporter is kinda right… PSS has put kids in danger
This does not feel like the end of a series. It’s very open-ended, and nothing really gets resolved.
