What an ending!

I have read a not-so-bad number of books and I must assert the fact that I have never come across an ending so perfectly written. Any other author, it would have been a near catastrophe. What an absolute madman, what an amazing writer, Philip Pullman.

His Dark Materials trilogy is something else, something different.

I am stumped. I need to go wipe my tears now. I have nothing else to say.
