The Twins of Auschwitz: The inspiring true story of a young girl surviving Mengele's hell by Eva Mozes Kor, Lisa Rojany Buccieri

challenging dark emotional inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

4.5

One the easier reads I have read for a memoir from the holocaust but also so inspiring. I loved how this book added a lot of information about Eva's experience after her liberation and her journey to her own version of forgiveness. I was surprised how many times I actually had to almost stifle a giggle in the latter chapters of this book and the afterword. Eva was clearly a very strong woman who managed to escape being a victim and turn herself into a beacon for peace and education!
