Love books that play around with POV and this book really interested me from the jump—the narrative constantly jumps between an omniscient narrator and the star of the novel, a cat named Nana.

Read along with the audiobook available on Libby and it was such an experience.

This story explores relationships, both young and old, familial, platonic and otherwise but it does so in such an interesting and thought provoking way that it had me interested from beginning to end. In many ways, it’s a quiet novel plot-wise. Nothing too crazy is happening—we have a man, named Satoru, on the quest of finding a new home for Nana. But it’s in these quiet, intimate moments that we are able to explore the amazing character work done by this author.

Loved this book so much! It was such a pleasant read.
