Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid

3.0

Eh. As I said, I’ve been unintentionally reading all TJR’s books in backwards publication order. This one sounds like it was written by a completely different person. It’s much more Colleen Hoover than TJR, with cheesy dialogue and frequently-annoying characters I don’t usually associate with TJR’s recent books. (Not hating on Colleen Hoover—much—they’re just very different writing styles) I had a hard time really feeling the grief here or connecting with Elsie’s relationship. Cool to see how TJR’s work has grown incredibly over time.
