The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

5.0

this book was unfreakingbelievable.

the sky is everywhere is about lennie, a girl whose sister just died. all her life, lennie has always just been in the background while her sister reveled in the spotlight. she even described herself as "the two-dimensional one" in a "3d family" and that is how she likes it. but when her sister dies, grief overwhelms her, as well as the sudden urge to be with toby, her sister's boyfriend before she died. throw another boy--who is actual sunshine in human form--in the picture and you get the sky is everywhere.

*hollers from the treetops* I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!!!

after completely falling in love with i'll give you the sun i was expecting great things from this book, and it did not disappoint. hilarious, warm, genuine, beautifully-written, and luminous; this book shines. every character has depth and flaws and beautiful moments, and i just greatly appreciated that. there was never a dull moment in this book, every chapter was a treasure.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
